In the manner of Jan Frans van Bloemen, called Orizzonte, was born in Antwerp in 1662. He died 1749 in Rom. Jan Fr. v. Bloemen was one of the most important exponents of classical landscape in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth century. Bloemen painted idealised Italianate landscapes with graceful figures and noble architecture.

The canvas is relined, some spots on the outer-side retouched.
